Hard work pays off for the Class of 2012
LEAP had a total of 122 Grade 12 students taking the National Senior Certificate exams – our students achieved a 94.7% pass rate with 115 students qualifing for tertiary studies.
Developing futures
This has been a year of highlights for the Development Team with the opening of two new schools (LEAP 5 and 6) and brand-new school buildings in development. The team also worked hard to bring standard assessment, a new leadership model and an aligned curriculum across all subjects in all LEAP schools.
Sharing the learning
Staffed by a diverse group of tutors from all over Africa, the LEAP Learning Centre is teaching critical skills to a generation of future LEAP students and is also helping them understand more about tolerance and hope.
Fixing a broken system
Johnny Copelyn and HCI are major supporters of LEAP’s work, funding LEAP 2 and its engagement with partner schools Herzlia United and Litha Primary in Gugulethu.
