Educating future leaders

Stepping up to lead

LEAP believes in creating opportunities for gifted leaders to emerge and inspire the next generation. This is Charles (Muzi) Manzini’s journey to a management position at LEAP 1 – Langa.

Making the circle bigger

Next year will be a special one for the LEAP learning community. For the first time ever we will have more than 1000 students across our six school campuses schools, as LEAP 4 reaches complete high school status and Grade 8 is integrated into all LEAP schools.

A journey of change

Giving up a career in biotechnology to become a science teacher at LEAP 2, Babele Emedi soon showed his passion and skills and joined the leadership team. He has just returned from six months in Texas on the KIPP School Leadership Programme.

Developing futures

This has been a year of highlights for the Development Team with the opening of two new schools (LEAP 5 and 6) and brand-new school buildings in development. The team also worked hard to bring standard assessment, a new leadership model and an aligned curriculum across all subjects in all LEAP schools.
