First Ever Science Lab for LEAP

LEAP 6 in Ga-Rankua is the first LEAP school to have a fully functional science laboratory on campus. On the 15th April 2016 LEAP 6 launched its brand new science lab, equipped with chemicals, beakers, test tubes, a model skeleton, lab coats, goggles and other equipment. The laboratory is temporarily housed in a classroom while a new, purpose-built structure gets underway. The science lab was made possible through a donation from Denel DOC Ltd for equipment and supplies and a pledge for a new building from St Alban’s College. Prior to setting up the lab, LEAP 6 students went to their partner school lab to share their resources. We are all very excited for LEAP 6 students to experiment and gain valuable empirical experience in their new lab and look forward to every LEAP campus having a science laboratory of their own.
