Thank you James

Thank you James

It is with sadness that we say good-bye to James McGregor, Chairman of the LEAP Board and long-serving Board member. James passed away peacefully on 20 July after a tough battle with cancer. James has been instrumental in laying the foundations and building the edifice of the LEAP Science and Maths Schools and his contribution over the years has been absolutely vital to the credibility, growth and development of LEAP.

At a personal level James has been an outstanding example of the LEAP Code of Conduct in action. His selfless and faithful service and leadership across many educational and social development fronts have set him apart as a caring human being, deeply committed in his faith and determined to live decisively in the service of others. As he has over the past few months engaged in his own health struggles he has simply given more and worked hard to remain positive and committed to all of the social initiatives that he has helped to build over the years.

We will miss him, but his tireless energy, sharp focus, endless effort and unwavering and open engagement will continue to be reflected in the work of LEAP and so many other organisations and institutions served by James.

At this time our prayers and thoughts are with all of his family and loved ones as they too grieve the loss but celebrate the life of James.
